Hello 3E3 & 3E6…

ย Watch “BOOMERS” every Mon, 9.30pm on Channel News Asia. Very interesting concepts & discussions that take place on the Ageing Population in Singapore.

The next episode is on the different, yet very simple initiatives that are taking place to care about our ageing / silver population in Singapore.

ย Good luck for your History test… both classes… ๐Ÿ™‚

An interesting read! :) Let’s learn! Let’s evolve! :)

bring-your-child-to-work-day.doc

ย Hi everyone,

I just received an email from MESRC (Ministry of Education Sports & Recreation Club). One of the upcoming activities they are organising is entitled “Bring your child to work day”.

Doesn’t this sound familiar, is this something that we have touched on in Chapter 2? Can you use this point for your SS group assignment as well?

Have a read! 3E3 would like to see PROGRESS in your assignments in class tom. 3E6 make sure all is done & you are ready to present on 19/3, during our lesson.

Thanks!

Another Newspaper Article! :)- Sat (1/3/08)

ย

Hey everyone,

Check this out… there is a fantastic article in today’s newspaper! It is a special report on the population woes in China.

“China’s, ‘little emperors’, the adored only children of the one-child policy, may disappear after a single generation. China may soon scrap the much-reviled policy because it is causing a demographic time bomb and widening the gender imbalance. Sim Chi Yin and Susan Long examine the consequences“. ย

Some suggestions on how you can use this great article: you can compare & contrast their policies with Singapore’s. Look at the different consequences. Also, from the different problems exposed, you can actually make your own suggestions / recommendations.

Have fun, while learning ๐Ÿ™‚ Yipeee yeah…. A great start to another new month everyone!

Miss Kaur
